The funeral for Ella Grenz, 76, of Moorhead, Minn., was Wednesday, May 1 at 11 a.m. at Edgewood United Methodist Church in Fargo, N.D. Interment was in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Fargo with arrangements by Korsmo Funeral Service in Moorhead.
She died Monday, April 29, 1995, at Eventide Lutheran Home in Moorhead.
Ella Diede was born April 28, 1920, at Artas to Henry and Martha (Naaz) Diede. She grew and received her early education in Artas, after which she worked on the family farm. She married Ernest Grenz on Oct. 17, 1943, at Artas where the couple farmed until they moved to Fargo in 1962, He died in 1986. She became a resident of Eventide Lutheran Home in Moorhead in 1995.
She was an active member of Edgewood United Methodist Church and its women's auxiliary group.
Survivors include one son, Dennis Grenz of Fargo; one daughter, Mrs. Les (Shirley) Suhr of Dayton, Ohio; four brothers, Royal Diede and Norman Diede, both of Fargo, Arnold Diede of Bozeman, Mont., and Calvin Diede of Ellendale N.D.; four sisters, Irene Fischer of Fargo, Mrs. Clinton (Berna) Berndt of Bismarck, N.D., Mrs. Al (Ruth) Tollofson of Lake Park, Minn., and Mrs. Alfred (Nora) Nelson of Maryville, N.D.; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.]

Funeral services for Ernest Grenz, 74, Fargo, ND were held Monday, Dec. 29, at 10'30 a.m. in Edgewood United Methodist Church in Fargo. Burial was at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Fargo.
He died Dec. 24, 1986 at a Fargo hospital.
Ernest Grenz was born Oct. 6, 1912 at Artas to Christian and Margaret Grenz. He grew up and received his education at Artas. During the second world was, he served his country in the U.S. Army. After being discharged, he was united in marriage to Ella Diede at Artas Oct. 17, 1943 where they made their home. They moved to Fargo in 1952. In 1953, he joined the housekeeping staff of the Fargo Veteran's Administration Hospital, Nursing Home Unit. He retired from there in 1977.
Suvivors include his wife, Ella, Fargo; one son, Dennis, West Fargo, ND; one daughter, Mrs. Les (Shirley) Suhr, Dayton, OH; one brother, Milbert Grenz, Eureka; six sisters, Mrs. Martha Koepfle, Mrs. Arthur (Edna) Rohrbach, and Mrs. Herbert (Esther) Rohrbach, all of Eureka; Ruth Grenz and Mrs. Wallace (Irene) Kusler, both of Artas; and Mrs. Bertha Hulse, Miles City, MT; and four grandchildren.
