William P Grenz

William P. Grenz, age 77 years, of Tigerton, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2008 at the Appleton Medical Center.

William Paul Grenz was born June 9, 1931 in the Town of Fairbanks, Shawano County, and was the son of the late Walter and Clara (Reinhardt) Grenz. Bill was a lifetime resident of the Tigerton area, and was united in marriage to Deanna Kusnifski at Zion Lutheran Church, Tigerton, on August 24, 1957. The couple dairy farmed, and Bill worked for the Tigerton Dray Line for 25 years, and drove school bus for 43 years. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Tigerton, and had served on the church council. He enjoyed fishing in the area as well as in Canada. Also he was an avid deer hunter.

Survivors include his wife, Deanna,3 daughters, Gina Kranz, Wausau, Lori (Leon) Seliger, Ringle, and Linnea (Dale) Lehman, Tigerton. There are 4 grandchildren, Justin, Kasey, Devan, and Logan. Two sisters, Mary Gruenstern, Marion, and Esther Strassburg, Bowler. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Arthur, and 2 sisters, Alice and Edith.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 12, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church, Tigerton. Rev. Jennifer Czarnota will officiate. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery, Tigerton. Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. Friday until the timew of the services at the church

 

Deanna L. Grenz

Deanna L. Grenz, age 75 years, of Tigerton, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2014 at ManorCare in Shawano.

The former Deanna Lou Kusnifski was born December 28, 1938 in Tigerton to John and Louise (Berg) Kusnifski. She graduated from Tigerton High School in 1956 and was a lifelong resident of the area. Deanna was united in marriage on August 24, 1957 to William P. Grenz at Zion Lutheran Church, Tigerton. She worked as a nurse’s aide at the Tigerton Hospital for some years. Then Deanna started at Shawano Hospital where she was employed for 27 years mostly as an ER Clerk, retiring in 1994 due to her health. Her husband Bill preceded her in death on September 7, 2008. Deanna was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Tigerton. Her hobbies included bowling, cooking, and baking, but she especially loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include three daughters; Gina Kranz of Wausau, Lori (Leon) Seliger of Ringle, and Linnea (Dale) Lehman of Tigerton. There are four grandchildren; Justin, Kasey, Devan, and Logan. She is further survived by a sister-in-law, Esther Strassburg of Bowler, and many other relatives and friends. Deanna is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bill, and a sister, Anita (Harold) Watters.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 31st at 11:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church, Tigerton. Rev. Dennis Creswell will officiate and inurnment will take place in the spring at Union Cemetery, Tigerton. Friends may call on Friday from 10:00 AM until time of the service at the church. The Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Tigerton, is assisting the family.
