Mary J. Grenz - Back

Mary J. Grenz died Monday, June 5, 2006 at Sharon Care Center in Centralia. She was 83 years old.

Mary Jane (Waranka) Grenz was born on April 7, 1923 in Astoria, Oregon to Nestor J. and Rauhu (Hutha) Waranka. Mary was raised in Deep River, near Naselle, Washington.
Mary married Delbert F. Grenz March 31, 1962 in Seattle. The couple moved to their farm in Onalaska in 1972.

Mrs. Grenz enjoyed baking, being at home and working outside. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and was active in Women of the Church of God.

Mary is survived by her loving husband Delbert at home; son Kenneth Laine of Naselle; daughter Charlotte Kurzhal of Olympia; sisters Irene Roberson of Kelso, Joanne Akins of Estacada, Oregon and Sandra Richards of Spanaway; five grandsons and one great grandson.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Jean Oster.

A memorial service is scheduled to begin at 11a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2006 at The First Church of God, Onalaska. Private inurnment will be held at a later date at Alpha Cemetery, Onalaska. Services under the direction of Sticklin Funeral Chapel.
