Obituary for Rick P. Grenz

Rick P. Grenz, 46, of East Springfield, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at his home. Born in Erie on August 18, 1965, he was a son of the late Roger M. and Gertrude Kurtsifer Grenz. A graduate of McDowell High School, Rick owned Grenz Construction and was also employed with Marino Construction. He enjoyed spending time hunting, fishing and working on trucks.

In addition to his parents Rick was preceded in death by his brother Gary Schaffle. He is survived by his wife Annette M. Pyle Grenz; three daughters: Stephanie Stafford and her husband Aaron of Cranesville, Jessica Grenz and her fiancé Jeff Lewis of Albion, Tiffany Grenz and her boyfriend Nick Leone of East Springfield; a son, Mitchell Grenz of East Springfield; two sisters: Debbie Peed and her husband Phillip of Gulfshores, AL, Connie Natale and her husband John of NY; two sisters-in-law: Christine Lindsley and her husband Pete of Girard, Sandy Throop and her husband Terry of Edinboro; his mother-in-law, Joyce Pyle and her boyfriend Jim Eaton of West Springfield; his maternal grandmother, Goldie Hetz of Edinboro; a grandson, Jeremy; and his coffee-drinking buddy, Jim Space and his wife Linda of East Springfield. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East in Girard on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 11a.m. on Monday in Burton's All Faiths Chapel with Rev. Frank Gore of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Conneaut, OH, officiating. Burial will follow at Springfield Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
