Corry, Pa.: Max H. Grenz, 67, of Buffalo Road, Corry, died Thursday, January 24, 2008 at Hamot Medical Center in Erie.

He was born October 12, 1940 in McKean, Pa., son of the late Max and Mildred Jewett Grenz. Mr. Grenz was raised and educated in Harborcreek, Pa. As a young man, he worked at Corry Jamestown Corp. In 1960, he started M.H. Grenz Interior Decorating in Corry. His business later developed into M.H. Grenz & Sons General Contracting Inc. with offices in Corry and North East, Pa. Mr.

Grenz enjoyed gardening and landscaping and being outdoors feeding and photographing various animals. He was also an avid hunter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dexter and Roger Grenz. Mr. Grenz is survived by his wife, Barbara A. Kirch Grenz, whom he married August 27, 1960 in Beaverdam, Pa. He is also survived by four daughters, Sheryl Grenz and her husband, William Turzai, Julie Tasker and her husband, Brian and Jennifer Moore and her husband Nathaniel all of Corry and Lori Bensink and her husband, Mark of North East, Pa.; two sons, Michael Grenz and his wife, Mary of North East and Steve Grenz and his wife, Sherry of Corry; four sisters, Norene Nowling, Gerry Dougan and her husband, Norman all of Erie, Maxine Bojarski of Wesleyville and Mildred Lockard and one brother, Kenneth Grenz and his wife Melissa of Warren, Pa. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, Austen, Sage, Jade, Masen, Halie, Andy, Brilie, Makenna, Megen, Jacob, Morgan, Taylor, Kyle and Kurtis and by several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Bracken Funeral Home, 315 N. Center Street, Corry, on Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service there at 11 a.m. Rev. J. Lynn Cirigliano, pastor of the Faith Evangelical Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Corry.
