Matilda Ann Enzminger
Matilda Ann Enzminger, 91, of Lodi, died March 3 at a
local convalescent hospital.
She was born Matilda Rivinius on Sept. 21, 1909 in
Streeter, N.D.
Mrs. Enzminger was raised in Streeter where she attended
schools. She married Walter Enzminger on Nov. 22, 1929.
Then moved to Lockeford in 1936, then to Lodi in 1968. She
was a homemaker for 70 years. She worked in the local
fruit packaging sheds and as a cook for Lodi Memorial
Hospital for many years.
She was a member of New Hope Community Community Church.
She enjoyed cooking, cleaning and entertaining guests at
her home.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law Loris Enzminger;
sisters Otilda Noyes and Alice Dewald, and Leona
Schwartzwalter; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Enzminger;
son, Elden Enzminger; and brothers, Art and Gus Rivinius.
Committal will be at Cherokee Memorial Park.

Walter Adam Enzminger
Walter Adam Enzminger,
78, of Lodi, died suddenly in his home Saturday.
He was born and raised in North Dakota. He married
Matilda Rivinius in 1929. The couple made their
home in North Dakota until moving to Lockeford in
1936. They came to Lodi in 1968.
Mr. Enzminger was a self-employed mechanic. He
operated a service station and garage in Lockeford
for 22 years and worked for several tire stores in
Lodi before retiring in 1976. He was a member of
Salem United Methodist Church and enjoyed
gardening and flowers.
He is survived by his wife, Matilda Enzminger of
Lodi; one son, Elden Enzminger of Lodi; one
brother, Fred Enzminger of Lodi; one sister
Lillian Nies of Lodi and two grandchildren.
