Rose Walker

          Rose walker passed away at Cheyenne Memorial Hospital.  She was born Dec. 29, 1902 in Leola.  She later moved to Texas with her parents.  Rosie's father passed away in Texas.  Her mother and children returned to South Dakota and settled in the Leola area.  Rosie's mother passed away soon afterward.  Rosie worked for a number of families in the eureka area, during which time she met her future husband.  Rosie became converted under the preaching of Pastor Anderson in the Church of God (7th day) in 1927.  She was baptized and joined the church in the fall of the same year and remained faithful till her passing.  A memorial service was held Feb 16 in Cheyenne.  Funeral services were conducted by Pastor Nick Numchuk at 10:30 am Feb 19 at the Church of God in Eureka.  Internment was in teh church cemetery in rural Eureka north of town with arrangements by Straubs Funeral Home of Eureka
