Rose Marie Zimmerman daughter of Edwin and
Lydia (Kautz) Zimmerman was born June 9, 1933, at Artas,
S.D. She grew up and attended school in the Artas, area.
Rose Marie was united in marriage to Alvin Wiest on Sept.
28, 1956, at Wishek.
They started farming in 1956, and were still presently
farming. She worked at the Wishek Home for the Aged in
Wishek from 1991 until her retirement in 1998. Rose Marie
taught Bible School and Sunday School at Grace Reform Church
for many years. She was a member of Wishek Grace Reform
Women's Guild.
She loved gardening, cooking, quilting, and needle point.
Rose Marie also loved cats and dogs.
She is survived by her husband, Alvin, two sons; Perry Wiest,
Steele, ND, Jeffrey Wiest, Wishek; one daughter, Patricia
Wiest, Linton; four brothers, LaVerne (Jean) Zimmerman,
Drayton, LeRoy (Vera) Zimmerman, Sioux Falls, S.D, Steven
(Connie) Zimmerman, Hemet, Calif., Keith (Pamela) Zimmerman,
Eureka, S.D.; three sisters; Frances Joachim, Spokane,
Wash., Gladys (Floyd) Beck, Herreid, S.D., Lorene (Harry)
Hoff, Eureka, S.D.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Lydia.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005, at
10:30 a.m. at United Church of Christ in Wishek.
Burial was at the Kassel Reform Cemetery, Ashley, under the
direction of Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Wishek.
