Katherine Werth Grenz
83 of Billings, died
Wednesday, November 25, 1998 at St. Vincent Hospital.
Katherine was born at Hebron, North Dakota, a daughter of
Jacob and Christina Magstadt Werth on July 5, 1915.
She graduated from Hebron High School in 1934 and attended
Dickinson State Teachers College. Katherine received her
degree in Elementary Education in 1957.
Katherine married Carl Grenz in 1936. They enjoyed 57
wonderful years together. Carl passed away in 1995.
Katherine was a member of Margaret Trautman O.E.S. Chapter
108, Broadus.
Survivors include her son Jerome C. Grenz or Idaho Falls,
granddaughters Shannon L. Grenz of Phoenix, Arizona and
Pamela Grenz Reyes and husband Ren of Boise, Idaho and a
grandson Michael J. Grenz of Portland, Oregon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four
sisters and two brothers.

Carl Grenz
passed away at the St. Vincent
Hospital. Raised and educated in Golden Valley, and in 1935
graduated from the university of North Dakota with a degree
in secondary education. In 1950, he received his master's
degree in education and in 1955 and 1956, he was listed in
Who's Who in American Education. Carl served in the armed
forces in WWII and was stationed in the South Pacific. He
was superintendent of Class C Schools in Montana and retired
after 35 years of education Service. He was a member of the
Masonic Lodge in Broadus and attended the Evangelical United
Methodist Church in Billings for the last 22 years.
