Marcella "Marcy" Anna Sizemore
March 14, 1934 ~ May 9, 2015
Marcella "Marcy" Anna Sizemore, of East Wenatchee, WA,
passed away on May 9, 2015, at her home in East Wenatchee,
WA, where she lost her courageous battle with cancer. She
was surrounded by her family until she went to be with our
Lord.
Marcy was born in Eureka, SD on March 14, 1934. She was
adopted in 1943 by Franklin and Gertrude Rooney, owners of
Rooney's Restaurant and Motor Lodge; between 1947 to 1969 at
821 N. Wenatchee Avenue. As young kids, Marcy and her
brother, Leroy, helped by working in the family restaurant.
Marcy graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1952. She was
crowned "Queen" of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas
and rode their float for the annual Apple Blossom Festival
Grand Parade. After high school, she married Robert Sizemore
and gave birth to nine beautiful children; five boys, four
girls. She worked as a waitress and housekeeper, serving and
helping others, until she retired at the age of 71. Marcy
enjoyed attending services at Foothills Foursquare Church,
collected Betty Boop memorabilia, loved purple flowers and
square dancing with her partner, Don. She also enjoyed
spending time with her family and friends. She was loved and
will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
Marcy is survived by her children: Beth, Sharon, Dan, Mary
Jo, Bobby, Mike, Ginny and Bill; 15 grandchildren and 13
great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son,
Tommy; and husband, Robert Sizemore.
