Lorraine Pitman
(January 20, 1926 - February 5, 2008)

Lorraine Pitman, age 82 of Idaho Falls, passed away at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center Tuesday, February 5, 2008. She was born January 20, 1926 at Trail City, South Dakota, a daughter of Joseph Grenz and Justina Haas Grenz. She was raised and attended schools in Eureka, South Dakota. She married LeRoy Biederstedt, they were later divorced. She Married John Vandall Ellis, they were later divorced. She married Elmer Pitman in Reno, Nevada, he preceded her in death. She moved to Idaho Falls in the 1960’s. She and her husband Elmer owned and operated a farm on Milo Road. Later they moved to Sand Point, ID and then back to Idaho Falls. Lorraine enjoyed walking, traveling, making quilts, cooking, ceramics and puzzles. She is survived by two daughters; Marlene (Duane) Alldredge, Della Faye Biederstedt, both of Idaho Falls, a son; Donald (Dorothy) Biederstedt, of Shelley, two sisters; Wilma Greger of Aberdeen, South Dakota, Frieda Aman of Eureka, South Dakota, two brothers; Melbert Grenz, of Gillette, Wyoming, Benjamin (Prisilla) Grenz, of Selby, South Dakota, nine grand children, thirteen great grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband Elmer and one sister Irene Grenz. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2008, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. The family will visit with friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. Saturday, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel. Interment will be in Milo Cemetery.
