81 year old, Leroy Hershman of Wheatfield, IN, passed away
February 21, 2016. On June 5, 1934, Leroy was born to Elwood
and Julia (Grenz) Hershman in DeMotte, Indiana. Leroy served
in the U.S. Army. He married the love of his life, Patsy
Pressel on March 21, 1959 in Hebron, Indiana. Leroy was a
lifetime area resident. He was a local area farmer and a
member of Calvary Assembly of God.
Leroy is survived by his loving family: wife, Patsy;
children: Larry (Helen) Hershman, Terry (Donna) Hershman,
Linda Pruitt, Garry (Aleta) Hershman, Lorie (Gary) Reeves
and Julie (Scott) Walstra; 13 grandchildren: Rachelle (Mike)
Wood, Aaron (Julie) Hershman, Andrew (Marjorie) Hershman,
Ryan Pruitt, Jennifer Hershman, Tim Hershman, Vallyn
Hershman, Arthur Walstra, Oliver Walstra, Marcus Reeves,
Andy (Jennifer) Terborg, Jeff Terborg and Jill Terborg; 6
great grandchildren: Brenton Gluth, Noah Hershman, Shaon
Wright, Colton Wright, Ella Terborg, Lexie Terborg;
sister-in-law: Helen Hershman; and brother-in-law, Paul &
Paula Pressel.
Leroy was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers,
Kenneth & Lloyd; 2 sisters, Eleanor & Dorothy; and grandson,
Russell Reeves.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4:00 until
8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at the Calvary
Assembly of God Church, DeMotte, Indiana. Services for Leroy
will take place on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 10:00
a.m. at the church with Pastor James Clark officiating.
Interment will follow at the DeMotte Cemetery with Military
Graveside Rites.
