Kathleen Schlosser, 74, died December 8,
2010, at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, WY of a sudden
illness. Services will be held Saturday, December 11, at
11:00 am MST at the Newcomers Funeral home, 710 E 2nd
Street in Casper, with Deacon Don Stewart officiating.
Kathleen was born November 26, 1936 in Mobridge, SD to
Frank and Ann Boehm. She grew up in Mott, ND and married
Anselm "AJ" Schlosser, September 20, 1955 at St. Vincent's
Catholic Church in Mott. Together they raised nine
children and lived in Leith, ND, Mott, ND, Grants, New
Mexico, and Rock Springs, WY. Anselm died unexpectedly in
1979.
Kathleen earned a Baccalaureate Degree in Social Work from
the University of Wyoming, Laramie, graduating in 1992
with her youngest daughter, Darci. She worked in Casper,
WY where she lived until her death.
Kathleen had a gift for music and played organ and piano
for funerals, weddings and church services. She enjoyed
her music, crocheting, reading, computer games, and the
History channel. She felt proud of achieving 33 years of
sobriety. Kathleen's strong faith brought her peace. When
God called her home, she was ready.
Kathleen is survived by three sons and one son-in-law, J.
Allen and friend Tom Munn, Salt Lake City, UT; Lyle (Aimmee)
Schlosser, Brentwood, CA; Patrick Schlosser, Carmichael,
CA; son-in-law, Chris Weydeveld, Casper, WY; 4 daughters,
Sylvia (Danny) Esquibel , Rock Springs, WY; Kelly (Kent)
Porenta, Rock Springs, WY; Tracy (Cal) Potter , Layton,
UT; Carmen (Dale) Abbott, Kearns, UT; 12 grandchildren,
Adam and Emilio Esquibel, Neil and Michael (Desiree)
Potter, Cali (Neal) Schmidt, Melissa Abbott, MyKayla,
MyKenzie, Amanda Johnson (Dan and Aarron Schlosser and
Ahna and Gibson Weydeveld; 3 great grandchildren, Kylee,
Violet, and Lili; and one brother, Don (Kathy) Boehm,
Mandan, ND; and 5 sisters, LaVonn (Dick) Steiner,
Bismarck, ND; Pat (Cliff) Zent, Rapid City, SD; MaDonna
(Dennis) Stanford, Valley City, ND; Cyndy (Tom) Gaj, San
Antonio, TX; and Lori (Court) Shereck, Sioux Falls, SD.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, Anselm; her
daughter, Darci Weydeveld; her infant son, Loren; her
parents and grandparents.

Schlosser Obituary
Mr. Anselm Schlosser, 47, of 1364 Teton St., Rock Springs,
died Sunday, Aug. 5, 1979, shortly after being admitted to
the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County.
He was born on May 21, 1932, in Burt, N.D., the son of
Adam and Emma Stier Schlosser. They preceded him in death
in his early childhood and he was raised by his uncle and
aunt, John and Katherine Schlosser of Mott, N.D. He
attended schools in Mott and married the former Kathleen
Boehm on Sept. 20, 1955 in Mott.
A resident of Rock Springs since 1971, Mr. Schlosser was a
former resident of New Mexico and of North Dakota.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, a member of
the Moose Lodge, Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, the
Knights of Columbus, and the Operating Engineers.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen, of Rock Springs;
three sons, Joel Allen of Salt Lake City, Utah; Lyle
Bennett and Patrick Donovan, both of Rock Springs; five
daughters, Mrs. Calvin D. (Tracy) Potter, Sylvia Lynn,
Kelly Ann, Carmen Patrice, and Darci Jean, all of Rock
Springs; four brothers, Tony Schlosser of Scappoose, Ore.;
Adam Schlosser of Burt, N.D.; Irvin Schlosser of Bowman,
N.D., and Ray Messer of Missouri; three sisters, Betty
Holmes and Tillie Vancil, both of Canby, Ore., and Anna
Mae Armburst of Belfield, N.D., several nieces and
nephews.
