Grenz - Obituary
The
funeral for Karl Grenz, 82, Kulm, N.D., will be at 10:30
Wednesday in Berlin (N.D.) Baptist Church. Visitation will
be from 9 to 9 today in Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Kulm, and
one hour before the services in the church. He died
Saturday, July 16, 1994.
Mr.
Grenz was born Feb. 28, 1912, near Fredonia, N.D., where he
grew up and attended school. He married Eda Kusler Nov. 14,
1933, in Ashley, N.D. They farmed near Fredonia for four
years, then moved to Omak, Wash., where they lived for 2 1/2
years. They then returned to the Fredonia area and farmed
until retiring. They moved to Kulm in 1981.
He is
survived by his wife; two sons, Roger (Ardella), Spokane,
Wash., and Eugene (Ruby), Jamestown, N.D.; a daughter, Joyce
(LeRoy) Kramlich, Kulm; two sisters, Pauline Wolf, Sioux,
S.D., and Bertha Hoffman, Kulm; 13 grandchildren and 12
great-grandchildren.

Eda
Grenz Obituary
The funeral for Eda Grenz,
Kulm, North Dakota will be held Saturday, September 22,
2012 at 10:30 AM at Kulm Baptist Church, Kulm, ND.
Visitation will be Friday, September 21, 2012 from 1:00
PM to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at
Dahlstrom Funeral Home in Kulm, ND. Burial will be at
Berlin Baptist Cemetery, rural Fredonia, ND.
Eda Kusler daughter of
Gottlieb and Katherine (Sukut) Kusler was born December
13, 1914 at Fredonia, ND where she grew up and attended
school. She was christened as an infant at the Reformed
Church in Kulm, ND. Eda was united in marriage to Karl
Grenz November 13, 1933 at Ashley, ND. They farmed in
the Fredonia, ND area until 1937 when they moved to
Omak, WA. They returned back to Fredonia area in 1939 to
farm. Eda was baptized at the Berlin Baptist Church in
1955. They continued to farm until their retirement in
1981 when they moved to Kulm, ND. Karl passed away July
16, 1994. Eda lived in Kulm untl 2004 when she moved to
Manor St. Joseph in Edgeley, ND. In 2005 Eda moved to
the Wishek Living Center in Wishek, ND where she lived
until the time of her death.
She was a member of the
Berlin Baptist Church and served on many of the church
committees. Eda was a very caring person and cared for
many.
Eda died Monday, September
17, 2012 at the Wishek Community Hospital, Wishek, ND.
She was 97 years old.
Eda is survived by two
sons, Eugene (Ruby) Grenz, Jamestown, ND, Roger (Ardella)
Grenz, Spokane, WA; one, daughter, Joyce (LeRoy)
Kramlich, ND; one brother, Sam Kusler, Wenatchee, WA;
one sister-in-law, Eunice Kusler, Omak, WA; thirteen
grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren and seven
great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by
her husband, infant daughter, one granddaughter,
parents, nine brothers and two sisters. Share memories
