Juno A. Guthmiller, age 83, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2017, at Jenkins Living Center in Watertown. A memorial service will be held at a later date to remember this kind and humble man.

Juno was born on May 27, 1934, in Ashley, ND, to Emil and Mathilda (Grenz) Guthmiller. He attended country school through the eighth grade.

On July 1, 1954, Juno married Delores Rudolf in Ashley, ND. Together the couple had one son, Randall. The family farmed near Ashley until 1977 when they moved to Clark, SD. While living in Clark, Juno and Delores owned and operated the Hyway Motel for 11 years. In 1988, Juno and Delores moved to Watertown, where Juno worked part time for Pletan Furniture until he retired.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Watertown. Juno was passionate about fishing and gardening and excelled in both.

Juno is survived by a sister-in-law, Lenora Dittus, of Lehr, ND; a brother-in-law, Elmer Rudolf, of Wishek, ND; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores; his son, Randy; his parents; and three brothers.

Mrs. Delores (Mrs. Juno) Guthmiller, 77, Watertown, died Friday, Aug. 6, 2010, at her home.
Memorial services will be Monday, Aug. 9 at 11 a.m. in First United Methodist Church, Watertown. The Rev. Joel Higgins will officiate. Music will be provided by Dorothy Brugman as pianist, Lesa Dahl as organist, and Alice Bruns as soloist.
Arrangements are by Crawford Funeral Chapel of Watertown.

She was born on Aug. 10, 1932, in Wishek, N.D. to Albert and Magdolene (Wanner) Rudolf. She grew up in the Wishek area where she attended country school.
She married Juno Guthmiller at Ashley, N.D. on July 1, 1954. The couple lived and farmed in the Ashley area, until they moved to Clark, in 1977. They owned and operated the HiWay Motel for 11 years. In 1988, they moved to Watertown, and she worked part-time at Senor Max’s until 2001.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Watertown.

She was preceded in death by one son, Randall in 1984.
Survivors include her husband, Juno of Watertown; one sister, Leona (Gerhard) Dittus of Lehr, N.D.; and one brother, Elmer Rudolf of Wishek.
