Joel Alan Schlosser [he went by Alan], age
55, passed away peacefully September 12th [2011], after a
two year battle with cancer. He is greatly loved by his many
friends and family and his customers of Too Busy to Clean,
Inc.
Alan was born June 12, 1956 in Mandan, North Dakota to
Anselm J. Schlosser and Kathleen A. Boehm. The eldest of
their nine children. Alan was raised on family farms around
Mott, North Dakota until the family moved to Rock Springs,
Wyoming when he was in high school. He moved to Salt Lake
City and built his life here at age 21.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Loren
and his sister Darci (Chris) Weydeveld of Casper [WY]. He is
survived by sisters Sylvia (Danny) Esquibel and Kelly (Kent)
Porenta of Rock Springs [WY]; sisters Carmen (Dale) Abbott
and Tracy (Cal) Potter of Salt Lake City; and brothers
Patrick Schlosser of Sacramento, California and Lyle
Schlosser of Pacifica, California. He is also survived by
his partner of 26 years, Thomas W. Munn, of Salt Lake City.
Alan built his housecleaning business Too Busy to Clean in
1992 and it was his labor of love until his death. He had a
loyal following among his customers and his employees whom
he treated with honesty and respect.
