JESSE LEE GREENE TAKEN BY DEATH AT HIS HOME JULY
9TH. Jesse Lee Greene, a well-liked farmer of Craig
Township, died at his home there on Wednesday, July 9th
after an illness of nearly two years. Mr. Green was born at
Georgetown, KY, June 23 1892 and was united in marriage to
Miss Emma Walker at Aberdeen, South Dakota in 1916. They
later moved to Kentucky and came here a few years ago.
When he was in good health, Mr. Green was known as an
honest, hardworking citizen, and he enjoyed the respect and
confidence of his neighbors. About two years ago, he became
afflicted with a complication of ailments, which despite the
constant care and attention by his loved ones, resulted in
his death.
Besides his heart broken widow, he is survived by his four
children, Tulsa, Lima, Ontario, and Nevada and one brother,
Lonnie Green of Muncie, Indiana.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Taylor, were held at
Lamb last Friday afternoon with burial in the I.O.O.F.
Cemetery at Carrollton(KY).
**Aberdeen marriage records indicate Emma Walker married
Mike Brumback; in 1916 in Brown Co SD. Jesse's mothers
maiden name was Brumback. I feel Jesse Green and Mike
Brumback are the same person. Why he used s different name
is still a mystery.
