Obituary

Funeral services were held at the Kulm Baptist Church. Jacob died at St. Lukes Hospital, Fargo. At age 6 he moved with his parents to the golden Valley area. he grew to manhood in the Hebron area. Professional training was at Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he graduated with a Dr. of Dental Science Degree. Established his first practice in Napoleon in 1927. In 1935 he moved to Hebron and practiced dentistry until 1941. The family then moved to Kulm where he continued his dental practice until 1979 when he retired, completing 50 years of his profession. Avid Yankee Baseball fan. Lifelong member of the Baptist Church and reading the Bible occupied much of his time, Buried at Swede Township Cemetery.

Ida (Nicklaus) Grenz

The funeral for Ida Grenz, 85, Kulm, ND will be at 1:30 Friday in Kulm Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 10 to 9 today, from 9 to noon Friday, In Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Kulm, and one hour before services in the church. She died Monday, Dec 4, 1995. Ida Nicklaus was born may 20, 1910, near Glen Ullin, ND where she grew up, attended school and farmed. She married Emanuel Straub in Glen Ullin in 1928. After a year and a half of marriage he died. She then moved with her family to Hebron, ND.

She married J. E. Grenz Sep 22, 1936 in Hebron, where he lived until 12941, when he moved his practice to Kulm. He died in 1930. She is survived by a son, Lester (Faye), Arvada, Colorado; two sisters...
