Helen Grenz Obituary

CARMICHAEL, Calif. -- Helen Ruth (Sanders) Powell Grenz, 82, of Sacramento, Calif., died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005, in Sacramento at the Valley Skills Nursing Home. Simple Tradition in Carmichael, Calif., is in charge of arrangements.

She was born Oct. 24, 1922, the daughter of the late Chester and Myrtle Newman Sanders of San Angelo. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Chester Carl Sanders and James R. Sanders; and one sister, Leona Sanders Hood Cathey.

Survivors include her children, James E. Powell of Midland, Debra Wilson and Randy Grenz and Jeffrey Grenz of Sacramento; four sisters, Julie Sanders Baker of Brownwood, Dorothy Sanders Welch of Dallas, Loretta Sanders Warrington of San Angelo and Eva Sanders Kitts of San Angelo; two brothers, Dennis Sanders of San Angelo and Lawrence of LaFerria; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Sacramento, Calif.
