Irene Bolman, 75, of Albany died Saturday at her home.
She was born in Junction City, the daughter of Arthur and Esther (Rubalcaba) Calderon. As a child, she moved to various places throughout Oregon following her father's work with the railroad. The family eventually settled in Albany, where she met her husband.

Irene Bolman, 75, of Albany died Saturday at her home.

She was born in Junction City, the daughter of Arthur and Esther (Rubalcaba) Calderon. As a child, she moved to various places throughout Oregon following her father's work with the railroad. The family eventually settled in Albany, where she met her husband.

Irene married George V. Grenz on Sept. 11, 1949. He preceded her in death on March 13, 1974.
Irene married Francis A. Bolman on Nov. 28, 1974.

She worked for many years as a grocery clerk in Albany and Jefferson. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, listening to music, dancing, collecting dolls and pigs, traveling to their cabin, trips in their RV, stormy weather on the coast, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Irene was a member of Morning Star Grange, St. Thomas Catholic Church, Good Samaritan RV Club, Elks Lodge and the NRA.

Irene is survived by husband Francis Bolman of Albany; sons George Grenz and Monte Grenz, both of Albany; stepchildren Jeanie Rimer of Albany and Brian Bolman of Harrisburg; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother Robert Dove of Independence; sisters Connie Long and Betty Thatcher, both of Albany, and Carmen Barr of Chehalis, Wash.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband George, brothers Arthur Calderon and James B. Dove, and sister Suzanne Cruse.
