GRABER, Geneva Pearl
(Amen) (Age 90)
"Neva" passed peacefully into the Lord's rest on
September 18, 2012 at Hospice House, Spokane. She was born
on August 17, 1922 and had just celebrated her 90th
birthday. Neva was born in her parents' bedroom on the
family farm in Ritzville, where she lived most of her life.
She graduated from Ritzville High School in June 1940 and
married the love of her life Jess Graber on June 24th, 1940.
She excelled in music, playing the alto saxophone in dance
bands as well as performing at the Fox Theater in 1939 when
she was a senior in high school. She and her husband Jess
often played duets on the piano and organ, and she loved
playing piano during sing-a-longs with family and friends.
Neva dearly loved her family, friends, children and dogs.
But above all, she loved the Lord, Bible studies and praying
for her loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jess A. Graber on
December 15, 1999. She is survived by daughter Bonnie (Gene)
Heimbigner of Spokane, son Max (Val) Graber of Wenatchee;
granddaughters Debbie (Mike) West of Spokane Valley and
Rosie Richardson of Spokane; three great-grandchildren
Alexis Richardson and twin boys Evan and Dean West; three
step-grandchildren Corey Millard, Robin Jingjit and Steve
Breeze as well as five step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, September 24, 2012 from 10:00 am
- 5:00 pm and Tuesday, September 25, 2012 8:00 am - 1:45 pm
at Heritage Funeral Home. There will be a pre-service
reception Tuesday, 9/25/12 at Heritage Funeral Home from
1:00 pm - 2:00 pm with the Funeral Services starting at 2:00
pm and graveside service following at Spokane Memorial
Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts to be
made to Hospice of Spokane |
