Florence Olivia Grenz

Florence G. Bulkley, 82, of Wissota health and Regional Vent Center, died Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at Wissota health with St. Joseph's Hospice.

She was born Se 25, 1924, in Campbell County, SD to Emma (Rau) and Berthold Grenz. She grew up in northern South Dakota, and graduated from high school in 1942. She served in the US Navy during World War II, from Nov. 27, 44, until May 14, 1946.

Florence married James R "Bert" Bulkley on June 23, 1946, in Oakland, California. They lived in various places before settling in Chippewa Falls in 1974. She and her husband were residents of the Rutledge Home from Dec 2000 until Feb 2007, when they moved to Wissota health.

She was a member of Chippewa Valley Bible Church, the ALS Support Group, Senior Saints and the VFW Women's Auxiliary.

Rev. James Robertus Bulkley

The Rev. James Robertus "Bert" Bulkley, 84, of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, town of Eagle Point, died November 24, 2010.
Bert was born on June 18, 1926, the sixth of nine children, to Paul H. Bulkley and Blanche Lauthey (Faris) Bulkley of Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
Bert was raised in Colorado where he attended Yampa High School. Bert served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theatre during WWII (September 1944 to July 1946). He married Florence Grenz on June 23, 1946, in Oakland, California. Bert pastored a variety of churches throughout the Midwest and was known for his preaching on the holiness and the love of God.
