Alois Ibach

Obituary

Esther Kay Siskel

Esther Kay Ibach was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She left this world peacefully in her sleep after unknowingly battling lung cancer on the morning of Jan. 27, 2021 at the age of 75.

She was born to Ben and Bertha Sikel on Nov. 2, 1945. She lived her simple dream of having a close, loving circle of family and friends. At a young age she met what she later called her 'great husband' Alois 'Al' Ibach and started her family.
Esther is survived by her son Barry and his wife Tammie; her grandchildren Mia and Aiden; her Brothers Gerald, Ellen and Charlie; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Esther was the most successful where it counted. She was the most loving wife and mother, the most caring and generous to all those around her and the most loyal of friends with a heart that would envelope those who needed it most to keep them warm and feel safe.

She truly lived a life of love. As keeping with the theme of her life she has chosen to pass on as simply as she lived. There will be no services or grand exit. She would want everyone she knew to remember her as she was and will be alongside God.

Alois "Al" Ibach

72, of Billings, peacefully passed on while surrounded by loved ones on the morning of Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011.

Al was born in Strasburg, N.D., on Nov. 27, 1938, to Frank and Margaret Ibach. He came from a large family of five brothers and seven sisters. As a child, the family moved to Hazelton and finally to Billings in 1945. In 1965, he met the catch of his life, Esther Sikel. He was able to reel her in on Oct. 29, 1966, and had nearly 45 years of blissful marriage from which came their only son, Barry.

As a youth growing up in Billings there were plenty of opportunities for mischief. There was never a shortage of stories being told of those adventures. He was always a man who had a smile for everyone; for those especially close to him he had a special sign of affection for them called "the Ibach." Besides his wife, his true love was children. Having only one son didn't stop him from loving all children.
Al was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bobby, Frank, Steve and sister Lorraine.

He is survived by his wife, Esther; son Barry (Tammie) Ibach; grandchildren Aiden and Mia Ibach; brothers Clarence (Jan) and Clem Ibach; sisters, Alvina (Jack) Stenger, Betty (Les) Daubert, Darlene (Matt) Volz, Florence Harrington, Katie Eastlick and Margie Dahrling; and numerous nieces and nephews.

We love you, and you will never be forgotten by anyone that had the privilege to know you. There are a few things for us to finish here, then we will be together again. We love you Honey, Dad, Grandpa and Friend.

As per his request, Al will be cremated and no public services are planned.
