A 52-year-old Snohomish man died of natural causes while driving a car Thursday in Snohomish, the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office said Friday.

The victim was identified as Darreld Scott Grenz. Grenz was found dead inside a yellow Dodge pickup truck Thursday morning in the 20700 block of Yew Way, Snohomish.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office said it appeared the truck was heading south on Yew Way when it left the roadway, struck several trees and rolled down an embankment.

The cause of death was presumed sudden cardiac arrhythmia while operating a motor vehicle, due to hypertension and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, according to the medical examiner’s office.
