Marvin James Olson, son of Morris and Gertrude (Gerbracht) Olson, was born September 15, 1946 in Hettinger, ND.  He graduated from Hettinger High School and in 1969 from Wahpeton State School of Science.  Marv served in the U.S. Army 1968 to October 1971.

Connie Mae Zerr was born in Bismarck on February 24, 1948 to Fred and Freda (Grenz) Zerr. She graduated from Napoleon High and from Concordia College, summa cum laude, in 1969.

Marvin and Connie were married May 24, 1969 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Napoleon, by Pastor Marvin Holje.  Their first home was in Hinesville, GA where Connie taught grade 8 at Bradwell Institute.  Marv was stationed at Fort Stewart as an air traffic controller.

The couple began farming three miles east of Napoleon in February, 1972.  they have three children:  Nancy, born January 5, 1972; Katja, born January 30, 1974, and Bjorn, born February 14, 1978.

They are members of Trinity Lutheran Church, Marv is a Wildlife Club member, assistant 4-H Club leader' and a trustee of Trinity Lutheran. Connie is a member of the Roaring Twenties Homemakers, past secretary and past treasurer of Trinity Lutheran, and a Sunday School teacher.
