Christine (Klein) Rohrbach, was born Feb. 28, 1911, on the
family homestead in a sod house northwest of Eureka. This is
where he grew up while attending country school. He helped
on the family farm. He was united in marriage to Edna Grenz
on Nov. 12, 1935, in the Evangelical Church at Artas. They
made their home in a sod house on a farm northwest of Eureka

while also farming. In 1952, he purchased a bulk fuel
delivery service. In 1966, he sold the service station and
bulk service and farmed full time, continuing to live in
Artas. In 1967, they moved to Eureka. He retired from
farming in 1976. He entered the Hosmer Senior Citizens Home
in December 2003 to be near his wife and she then died June
7, 2004. Arthur enjoyed fishing, gardening, canning and
visiting with friends downtown. He had a love for horses and
spending time with them. At the age of 93, he learned to
play pool. Survivors include four daughters, Berneice
