Anna Mary Herman

 87, Bismarck, died May 6, 2002, in a Bismarck care center. Services will be held at noon Thursday at Church of St. Mary, Bismarck, with the Rev. Charlie Heidt officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. today at Bismarck Funeral Home, with a vigil service and rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation will ccontinue one hour prior to services at the church.
Anna Mary was born Oct. 2, 1914, the daughter of Gabriel and Magdalena (Lacher) Miller, in a sod house in McIntosh County. She grew up and attended country school. She married Adolph Herman on April 20, 1940, in Bismarck. She was employed by Medcenter One and the Drumstick Cafe.

Anna Mary enjoyed volunteering at the senior center, baking, dancing and playing cards. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters, St. Mary's Altar Society and the Eagles and Moose Lodges.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Cornelius Heidt, Bismarck; three grandchildren, Melissa (Darin) Ohe, Moorhead, Minn., Justin Heidt, Bismarck, and Sarah (Lowell) Schaaf, South Korea; three great-grandchildren, Andrew and Elizabeth Ohe and Allison Heidt; one brother, Pete Miller, Bismarck; one brother-in-law, Mike Wolf, Bismarck; and five sisters, Catherine Miller, Maggie Christmann and Frances Baumgartner, all of Bismarck, Eva (Pete) Slabik, Cayuga, and Veronica Berger, Mandan.
