Alvina (Pfeifer) Aichele, 89, Bismarck, died
Dec. 12, 2001, in the Glen Ullin care center. A private
family service was held at Sunset Memorial Gardens,
Bismarck.
Alvina was born March 9, 1912, on a family homestead 12
miles north of McClusky in Rosenfield township, the daughter
of Adam and Katherina (Adams) Pfeifer. She was a long-time
chef in Bismarck at the Prince Hotel, Airport Cafe and
Kroll's Kitchen. She was well known for pies, pastries and
we are sure you have tasted her knoephle soup.
Alvina was a caring woman, and her children always came
first. Her family loved her and will miss her dearly.
She is survived by two sons, Tom Aichele, Baldwin, and
Burdett Aichele, St. Anthony; eight grandchildren; seven
great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one
brother, Prosper Pfeifer, Pickeredville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edwin
Aichele; one daughter, Muriel Brua; and nine siblings.
