Allen Schauer, 72, of Marysville, WA arrived
safe in the arms of his Lord and Savior on
June 21, 2007. He was born April 18, 1935 to
Walter and Lydia (Grenz) Schauer of Napoleon,
ND.
Allen graduated from Napoleon High
School in 1955, enlisted in the Army and
served 12 years in "Aviation," with Army Air
Defense Choral Group, and two overseas
assignments in India and Vietnam. He served
and was honorably discharged in March 1967 as
SSG E6.
Allen was preceded in death
by his parents; sister, Alice Zako; brother,
Walter Schauer; and grandson, Daniel Crain.
He is survived by his loving wife,
Joyce of 48 years; three daughters, Faith
(James) Davenport, Twila (Tracy) Crain, and
Jennifer (Jason) Rhodes; two sisters, Phillis
(Ed) Hall of GA, and Maxine (Richard) Perkins
of FL; brother, Weston (Nancy) Schauer of ND,
five grandsons; and one granddaughter.
Visitation will be at The Schaefer-Shipman
funeral home from 4p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday,
June 25, 2007. A graveside service will be
held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at
Marysville Cemetery with a memorial service
following at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in
Marysville, WA. Published in The Herald
