Obituary Kenneth E Grenz

After battling several heath issues, Kenny passed on May 14. He was born on January 4, 1942 to Al and Fern Grenz in Monterey Park, CA. Most of his early life, however, was spent in Garden City, KS.

In 1959, he enlisted in the Army and enjoyed a tour of duty in Germany. Kenny was honorably discharged in 1962 and returned to Garden City where he build homes with his father and eventually went to work at Wheatland Electric. In 1980, Kenny went to work for the Colorado Springs Electric Department. Eventually, he ended up at Fountain Electric until he retired in 2005.

His many hobbies included camping, fishing, boating, wood working, reading, watching Nascar and puttering around the house.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon and his brother, Jimmy (Orvilla) Grenz. Kenny loved and was very proud of his children and grandchildren: Kelly (Dale) McDaniel and Dillon, Bryan (Michelle) Grenz, Kila (Roland) Gurule and Kailie, and granddaughter, Katrina (Fabian) Escovedo.
