Walter J. Stoller lost his courageous battle with cancer
on January 7, 2014, in the comfort of his home. He was
surrounded by his loving wife and two daughters, who
remained by his side. He was born on March 5, 1935, in
Hazelton, ND. He made his living as an entrepreneur. Walt
was an Army veteran, active member of the Lodi Fraternal
Order of Eagles Lodge 848 and The Loyal Order of Moose.
Walt is preceded in death by his parents John and
Christina, brothers Jake, Johnny, Rueben, William, and
Albert, sister Caroline, previous wife Irene, and stepson
Donald Snyder. He is survived by his beloved wife of 30
years Jeanne; daughters Jacquelyn Kannegaard (Kenneth),
Wanda Norrish (Russell); stepdaughters, Lynda Andersen
(Donald) and Pamela Tomassene (Charles); sister Irene
Farrey and brother George; 8 grandchildren and 3
great-grandchildren, as well as, a great many nieces,
nephews and close friends.
He was a one-of-a-kind individual that could strike up a
conversation with any passerby. He had a "larger than
life" personality that made him unique and not
easily-forgotten. His story telling was legendary. He
loved being active by dancing the Waltz and Jitterbug,
fishing, traveling, playing cards, reading and socializing
with his friends. He was always ready to help anyone in
need; family, friend or stranger.
Walter will be a loving memory to all who knew him.
