Reuben Edwin Eisenbarth was born Dec. 16, 1921, in rural Hazelton, to parents Peter and Katherine (Schiermeister) Eisenbarth.  He was called to join the Lord on March 25, 2010, at Regency Center in Hermiston, Ore., at the age of 88. Services will be held at 1 p.m. PDT Wednesday, March 31, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Hermiston, Ore. Burial will be in Hermiston Cemetery.

He was raised and attended schools in Emmons County.  In 1941, he married Ruth Grenz.  They started farming/ranching north of Hazelton and later branched into the dairy business working long hours.  He really enjoyed the work of fixing equipment and keeping it running for planting and harvesting.  He loved all his children and enjoyed helping them when he could.  In 1969, he married Dolores BullBear.  He continued farming until retiring in 1980, moving to Bismarck.  Then he enjoyed traveling with his wife visiting all 48 continental states, Alaska, Canada and Mexico.  They also visited England, Switzerland, Germany and France.

His love of children led him to become a foster parent.  His hobbies included home remodeling, auto repair and a small hobby farm.  He also enjoyed boating.  He and his wife were active in their Conklin business.  In 1989, they moved to Hermiston, where he enjoyed spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He loved to go to rodeos and listen to country music.  He also watched a lot of boxing.  He loved the Lord and looked expectedly to what each new day would bring.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Dolores, Hermiston; three daughters, Karen Eisenbarth, Hermiston, Arlene (Jerry) Hennings, Hermiston, and Sandra Prop, Maine; four Sons, DeWayne (Mary) Eisenbarth, Vancouver, Wash., Arneil (Sue) Eisenbarth, Houston, Lorrie Eisenbarth, Missoula, Mont., and Darwin (Lorraine) Eisenbarth, Missoula, Mont.; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
