Snap Shot - Richard

 

Dick Grenz graduated from Tower City High School in 1960.  He joined the Army 18th Airborne Artillery and was involved in the "Bay of Pigs" action.  Dick served two years active duty and 4 years inactive duty.  Upon returning to Tower City, ND. he met and married Judith Eggert in Aug. 1963.

Dick and Judy had a dairy farm south of Valley City for four years until theri barn caught fire, due to an electrical short.  Most of the animals either died in the fire or had to be destroyed because of smoke damage to their lungs.

in 1968, Dick began working for Wick Construction as a heavy machine operator.  he has been working there now for 24 years.

Dick is a lifetime member of Amvets and has served at both local and State levels; his latest office at State level has been as Provost Marshal.

Judy has been employed as a waitress at the Eagles Club in Valley City since 1968.  She is a member of the Amvets Auxiliary, and is till in active member of the Valley City Women's Bowling Association, where she has won several bowling awards.

Ryan is in high school; since they live next door to the City Park with the swimming pool, Ryan and his two brothers have all enjoyed swimming.
