John Gensburg, 79, of Bremerton died
Thursday at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
He was born Sept. 5, 1913, in Napoleon, N.D. He moved to
Kitsap County from Jamestown, N.D., in 1942.
On Sept. 18, 1937, he married Ruth Daede in Aberdeen, S.D.
Mr. Gensburg was a welder at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for
30 years, retiring in 1976.
He was a member of American Rifle Association and enjoyed
hunting, fishing, camping and traveling.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; two daughters, Patricia
Warden of Kirkland, King County, and Darlene
Krucek-Samardzich of Bremerton; seven sisters, Dorothy
Schubert of Seattle, Millie Sicard, Marian Wiehoff and Lydia
Schrankel, all of San Francisco, Calif., Tillie Anderson of
Minot, N.D., Katherine Bergstrom of Fargo, N.D., and Betty
Apple of Memphis, Tenn.; and three grandchildren.
