Helen was born January 4, 1928 in Helena, Montana to
Gottlieb and. Years later the Grenz family moved to Rosedale
Oregon to farm.
Helen graduated from Salem High School and soon after
married
Robert Bivans and moved to Nebraska. They later returned to
Salem to raise their family. Helen worked at the DMV for
many years and retired at the ripe old age of 55 (something
she was very proud of). In 1970 Helen married Jim Ankrom,
they spent many happy years together in Keizer. They enjoyed
being snowbirds and spent winters in Arizona. Together they
were involved in Marion County Search and Rescue. Helen
loved having family holidays and parties at her home and did
so for as long as she was able. She also loved road trips
and was very adventurous and unafraid to travel alone.
Helen's many chihuahuas were her constant companions.
Her memory is a blessing to all the lives she touched.
