Evelyn I. Wierschke, 70, Bellevue, entered
her heavenly rest on November 20, 2010. Evie was born on
January 1, 1940, in Bentley, North Dakota, to the late Jacob
and Edna (Weisshaar) Treichel. She was a graduate of
Mobridge Lutheran Academy in South Dakota. She received her
teaching certificate from Dr. Martin Luther College in New
Ulm, Minnesota. On June 6, 1964, she married Dale D.
Wierschke at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Appleton. She
was a school teacher at North Trinity Lutheran School in
Milwaukee and St. Matthew Lutheran in Appleton. Most
recently she was employed at Sears in Green Bay. She was a
longtime, active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Green
Bay. She served and loved her Savior, Jesus Christ. She was
also an active member of the St. Paul Ladies Aid. Evie loved
her grandchildren and spending time with family. She was an
avid reader and enjoyed needlepoint and cross-stitch.
She will be sadly missed by her husband Dale, Bellevue;
children Pastor David (Lisa) Wierschke, Caledonia WI;
Jonathon (Sharon) Wierschke, Mill Creek, WA; Elizabeth
(Pastor Nathan) Strutz, Verona WI; grandchildren Elinor,
Meghan and Claire Wierschke; Leah and Lauren Wierschke; and
Caleb and Elijah Strutz; one brother Richard (Mary Lou)
Treichel, Cedar Falls, Iowa; one sister VerNiece (Harold)
Haux, Leola, SD; mother-in-law Florence Wierschke, De Pere;
as well as many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Clinton
(Sharon) Treichel and father-in-law Elmer Wierschke. |
