* Snap Shot:  Edwin was born and raised on the family farm.  From 1939 to 1941, he worked in the CCC's at Foxholm, ND.  During WWII, he served in the US Army Heavy Artillery, from 1943 to 1946 in the South Pacific.  He married Irene in 1950 and worked in Bismarck for an oil company for a few years before they purchased a farm. Their two sons, Carlyle and Lalyn, do most of the farming since Edwin has back problems.  However, it was not unusual for Irene to handle the big machinery around the farm!  Edwin has also served as a director on the Rural Tele Co-op for many years.
