GRENZ FAMILY TREE

Snap Shot - Daniel Grenz

Dan was a mischievous little imp!  He loved to "bug" his family, so he started early by having colic for 9 months!   When he was about 3 years old, he washed his face with the blue ink from a stamp pad, and then stood there grinning from ear to ear at this mother!  Dan always had those "laughing eyes" that almost closed when he thought something was especially funny, and they still do!  His mother would find herself laughing along with him, instead of disciplining him because those eyes would just melt her heart.  Once, when he was about 7, Dan was restricted to the house because he had done something especially naughty.  Dan wrote a note and taped it to the living-room wall.  He wrote:  "Dear Mother:  I have runned away,  Love, Dan."  But, since he was not allowed outside, he hid behind a chair for an hour or so!  Meanwhile, she was looking for outside----

Dan attended school in New Berlin.  He played football in high school, but broke his thumb lengthwise during his senior year, which cut his career short.  Dan always does everything "gung-ho!"  Dan had worked during the summers, doing landscaping work for a couple years.  After graduation, he worked as an expediter for a house builder, then as a carpet installer.  He is presently an independent sub-contractor, doing carpet and tile installations.  He will be concentrating more on the estimating portion, however, and less time on the physical portion in the future.

Judy has worked as a sales clerk at various stores.  She switched over to office work in 1989, however, so she could get some benefits.  She has not gone back to work since Michael's birth, but is thinking of a two-day part-time job again.
