Obituary

     LaVerne Grenz, 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 12, in Summit N.J. Friends and family may call on Thursday, Feb. 16, from 10 to 11 a.m. to the McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave., Union, N.J. A funeral service will held on Thursday at the funeral home at 11 a.m. with interment to follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. A lifelong resident of Union, N.J., she worked for Colgate-Palmolive as a supervisor of domestic benefit plan administration before retiring in 1994. She loved to attend plays at the theater, spend time with family and friends and travel and was a history buff. LaVerne was predeceased by her beloved parents, Edward and Gertrude Grenz. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends. In lieu of flowers, donations in LaVerne's name may be made to Townley Presbyterian Church, 829 Salem Rd., Union, N.J. 07083.
